THE LAST DAYS
Oh what is this world coming to? Well the answers are in the Bible and it appears that some of them are very close to being fulfilled.
It is an exciting time to be a believer and follower of Christ. When you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior and have a close abiding relationship with Him, you need not fear the future for you know who holds the future. You also know who wins in the end. Yes, being a follower of Christ is hard, but the rewards are heavenly.
To be without Jesus in your life at this point in history would be unnerving. It is probably a confusing time for those who do not know him as personal Lord and Savior.
This page of the website is devoted to Bible prophesy. We will list scripture verses on prophecy. So much of what is going on in the world right now is in the Bible. What is a mystery is when the Lord Jesus Christ will come for his followers.
Please pray that the God will reveal Himself to you through these scriptures and speak to your heart and bring you understanding and knowledge as you read and mediate on them.
Jude 17-22 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold, They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do have the Spirit.
But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear -- hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. (NIV)
Luke 12:40 states: "You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." (NIV)
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 5:11 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring
with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord
himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on
them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a
breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with
him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact your are doing.(NIV)
I Corinthians 5: 51-58 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed -- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with the immorality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immorality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting." The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always vie yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (NIV)
